History
In July 2006 Shakey decided he had enough. The demanding pace of a Bullet took its toll. With great appreciation and respect we would like to thank him. Best of luck to you Shakey and your always on the team.
Needless to say fighting the law never ends and Shakey’s position had to be filled. A well seasoned kid from Florida took it upon himself to get on board. Mike Mutti. You may recognize him but that’s up to you. With Mike’s help Tommy Gun & the Bullets is becoming the crack Rock-n-Roll unit in the San Francisco Bay Area. Along with Mike came a wave of gigs. Tommy Gun & the Bullets have been playing shows all summer and fall and people know it. Tommy Gun & the Bullets are going off. Look for the Debut Full Length this fall from Piss & Vinegar Records.
------------------------------------------------------------
It seemed to start in the early 80's, when a bunch of dumb young punks from Sonoma, California began drinking beer, taking drugs and listening to crappy rock-n-roll. At the time San Francisco and the Bay Area did supply a good amount of crappy Rock -n- Roll. It seemed that there were punk shows every weekend. Although the shows were always appreciated the kids were still stuck in Sonoma.
Garrick
and Shakey showed up in Sonoma and amongst other people met Ross. Garrick
and Shakey are brothers and met a long time ago. After serving their
sentences in Sonoma they went there separate ways. Through the years
each has been in a number of bands. After everything was said and done,
they all ended up in San Francisco. Ross and Garrick began trading songs
and song ideas and basically talking about What If?
In Mid 2002 Ross and Garrick were introduced to Bart, who had just parted ways with a band from East Bay Chasing a lost dream. Bart did his share of crappy rock -n- roll through the years as well. Through it all he did manage to learn how to play his drums, however. With nowhere to practice the three juggled rehearsal spots and slowly got together 7 or 8 songs. With bass players either showing up for 1 or 2 sessions or not fitting the bill, things were bogging. After Shakey' s band in Santa Cruz dried up they were able to talk him into putting down a microphone and picking up a bass. He was hesitant at first but after breaking his balls for a couple of months he gave in. The band secured a rehearsal space and seemingly got their act together. Now they just needed a name. A bunch of names came up, and there were a couple that stuck at first, but in the end only TOMMY GUN & the BULLETS could be accepted. The band has been into record on a couple of sessions and is releasing some of it on RADIO RECORDS (out of Sonoma, California) around the first 2005. After playing a dozen shows or so Tommy Gun & the Bullets are definitely firing T-shirts, Stickers, Buttons, Records, CDs, Booze, Babes and Breaking the law; there' s no turning back. Lying, Cheating and Stealing to get what they want, Tommy Gun & the Bullets are locked and loaded and looking to go fully automatic on you.
